Second (Third, Fourth, and Fifth) Road Trip of the Summer

Mommy and Daddy took me on a circle tour of the Midwest, MidAtlantic, and Southern U.S. that had me strapped into this car seat for an eternity. I got used to it by the end, but it sure had me stir crazy at times. On our way we visited with Aunt Renee, Other Uncle Matt, and Connor in Ohio, where I learned not to throw sand and met the neighbor's kitties.
Our next stop was Gumpoo and Nana Sheila's house near Wash. DC. My first accomplishment there was a scraped up nose and fat lip (silly sidewalk), but soon after a little ice (cream) to ease the swelling and a joyful romp with markers, I was back in the game and teaching Gumpoo how to do the happy dance.
Then it was on to Virginia. I was disappointed that there were no cows this year, but the neighbors' horses and goats filled in, and the picturesque haybales in the fields made it farmy enough. Mommy and Daddy had a lot of work to do (I don't know why they called it a "vacation"), but I learned to ease up a little bit here and there and enjoy the freedom of the country. I really liked all the space we had, but my favorite was probably Linda's golf cart.
After new roofs on the house and shed, a new floor, and countless other mind-numbing (literally, says Mommy) and unpictured projects involving adhesives and paint, we climbed in the car AGAIN to come back home. By this time, I was a pro at road travel. We only needed a couple stops for a quick breather.
Now, I'm happy to be home again gardening with Grandma, giggling with Ciaran, and learning how to make my family yelp in surprise. I can't wait to see Nanny and Grandpa Brian, and Aunt Jess and Uncle Matt!
